The US ambassador in Ankara spoke about the possibility of opening the Armenian-Turkish border
US Ambassador to Turkey and Special Representative to Syria Tom Barak spoke about the developments in the region and Turkey-US relations during the conference organized in the Arab Emirates. According to Turkish Anadolu, US Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barak said that the crisis in Turkey-US relations can be resolved within 4-6 months. He emphasized that there is an extraordinary friendship between Trump and Erdogan. According to the ambassador, although Turkey is the biggest ally in NATO, it is not respected by Europe, and Europe does not want to include Turkey in the European Union. Tom Barak stressed that in the future Turkey-Syria and Turkey-Azerbaijan energy corridors will be very important. Referring to the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the ambassador expressed hope that the border between Turkey and Armenia will be opened.
