On September 17, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Austria took place in Vienna. This was reported by the RA MFA. On the Armenian side, the consultations were conducted by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, on the Austrian side, by Gregor Kösler, Political Director of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, General Director of Bilateral Relations and Common EU Foreign Policy Affairs. During the consultations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the Armenian-Austrian bilateral agenda, emphasizing the activation of high-level political dialogue and the deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation. The parties referred to the activation of bilateral trade and economic relations, the prospects of further deepening of cooperation in education, culture, science and other fields, as well as the current programs in the fields of development policy and humanitarianism. A number of issues of the comprehensive and ambitious agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership were also discussed at the consultations. The deputy minister presented to his colleague Armenia's vision of achieving sustainable peace in the South Caucasus and the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the RA government. Reference was made to the latest developments in the process of regulating and demarcating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as signing a peace treaty.
