On December 6, the press conference dedicated to the start of the production of the "Sputnik Light" vaccine in the Republic of Armenia was held at the "LIQVOR" company, the leader of the Armenian pharmaceutical industry. This is reported by the RA Ministry of Health. The speakers of the press conference were: RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan and General Director of "LIQVOR" CJSC Sergey Matevosyan. Before the press conference, the ministers together with the director of the company made a tour and got acquainted with the production processes and capabilities of the company. At the beginning of the press conference, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan noted: "We have come a long way with the Armenian company LIQOR, which meets the highest quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry, and our Russian partners, so that today we have a finished product manufactured in Armenia that meets all quality standards and is ready to enter the market." Negotiations are now underway to specify the possible export destinations." He added that last week in the Government's five-year plan, a list of five priority areas of industry was published, one of which is pharmaceuticals. He emphasized that the focus of the Ministry's activities will be the development of the pharmaceutical sector, thanks to deep cooperation with such pharmaceutical companies.
