"Of course, we categorically reject the fabricated accusations against Russia and Cuba that our cooperation allegedly creates a threat to the interests of the United States or anyone else. All issues should be resolved exclusively through a dialogue based on mutual respect, which is aimed at finding a balance of interests," Sergey Lavrov emphasized. Moscow will consistently continue to support the Cuban people. However, due to the American blockade, life on the island has become difficult. There is no light in residential buildings for days. Without electricity, the pumps, with the help of which people could draw drinking water from the wells, do not work. The work of public transport and enterprises is paralyzed. The planes are not flying, due to which the Russian tourists were also affected. However, as announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the issue of evacuation flights has already been resolved, they will be provided with fuel. Embassy and Consulate General employees are in constant contact with tour operators and relevant agencies in Havana, Lavrov said.
