On September 12, the delegation led by RA Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan met with IR Agriculture Minister Abbas Al-Maliki in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. At the beginning of the meeting, both sides emphasized that there is a great potential for development in the Armenian-Iraqi trade and economic relations, which should be fully realized. Then the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture. A separate reference was made to the state support tools used in the agriculture sector of the two countries. The Minister of Agriculture of Iraq proposed to consider the participation of Armenian companies in the international exhibitions and fairs organized in Iraq in order to increase the recognition of Armenian agricultural products in the local market. An agreement was reached to exchange information on the programs operating in the field of agriculture.
