Yerevan, March 15, 2022
During the meeting held at the central headquarters of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, the main political, security and socio-economic problems created in Armenia were discussed, which, according to the participants, were caused by the wrong and short-sighted policies of the authorities.
At the core of the discussions were the internal political situation formed after the war, the growing dissatisfaction within the society, the security challenges and the persecutions against the active members of the party and the opposition forces in general, which are already reaching a very worrying level, even becoming a direct threat to life.

In his speech, Artur Safaryan expressed his concern about the fact that pressures on people with opposition views have become a worrying phenomenon.
"We are here today not only to make a political assessment of the situation in the country, but also to talk about the pain that many families have gone through, including my family. I cannot remain silent about what happened to my father. He was subjected to violence, his health deteriorated sharply, which led to his death. This has become an obligation for me to fight and raise my voice, so that no family will suffer such a loss again for political opinion," Safaryan emphasized in his speech.
He also noted that worries and mistrust of the future are deepening among the youth.
"Young people want to live in a safe, dignified and predictable country. When criticism is perceived as hostility, and people with different opinions feel oppressed, we have no future. We are convinced that the future of Armenia should be built on the basis of the supremacy of law, political tolerance and listening to the voice of citizens," he said.
During the meeting, Ashot Andreasyan also referred to the importance of youth involvement and free participation in political processes, stressing that solving public problems requires open discussions and political responsibility.
PAP Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan assured that the political path of the party is clear: the current authorities have failed and must leave, therefore, the priority issues for the party will be evaluated from this position.
