In the field of water resources management, "Veolia water" company and related bodies failed. Gohar Meloyan (video)

Armenians should not have water problems, Gohar Meloyan, a member of the "Strong Armenia" party, wrote about this.
"It is well known that Armenia is a self-sufficient country with drinking and irrigation water.
In that case, why is the water supply so severely restricted?
Yesterday, in the first half of the day, the announcement of "Veolia water" company about the drastic limitation of the water supply schedule for the RA population from May to September was widely spread in the mass media, as a result of which a 17-hour water supply schedule would be set for tens of thousands of customers.
This was immediately followed by the righteous indignation of the Armenian society.
The answer is, in fact, obvious: there is a shameful level of management of water resources.
Water loss reaches 65%. For comparison, let's note that at the time of seizing the Armenian Electric Networks company from its legal owners, the loss was only 6%, due to which 7 billion drams were accumulated, at the expense of which we proposed to lower the price of electricity for people.
Therefore, it is obvious that "Veolia water" company and related bodies, including the Public Services Regulatory Commission and the RA government, have FAILED in the field of water resources management.
The authorities announced in the evening that "as a result of the government's intervention, there will be no change in the water supply."
Two options are possible here:
- or "Veolia water" company, having an obvious opportunity not to restrict water supply, nevertheless restricts what can be assessed as "sabotage" against the Republic of Armenia,
- or the RA government "urged" the private company to withdraw from the restrictions, which will only worsen the water supply problem in the medium and long term, if obvious systemic reforms are not implemented in the field of water resources management.
Therefore, the problem still exists and is of national security level," he wrote.
