Today, in front of the building of the Kanaker Zeytun Police Department, his supporters organized a protest in defense of Vahan Kostandyan. According to them, Kastandyan participated in a big rally held in Yerevan three days ago, on September 20, 2023, in which the opposition forces demanded the authorities to refrain from the idea of ​​recognizing Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan, otherwise they intend to achieve Nikol Pashinyan's resignation by all legal means.

The police used brute force against the active participants of the rally and detained many of them, allegedly in order to prevent a mass disorder. Vahan Kostandyan was also among those arrested along with his party council member Samvel Azizyan, who were forcibly transferred to the Kanaker Zeytun Police Department.

Kostandyan's associates assure that they have not been able to get any information from him for two days, there is absolutely no possibility of communication, and they have not even been given the opportunity to visit a lawyer. According to them, it is not known whether they have been charged or not and on what grounds they have been detained for two days.

The gathered demand that Vahan Kostandyan and Samvel Azizyan be released immediately, otherwise they intend to go to the Prosecutor's Office to hold a protest and report that the police are keeping Kostandyan in the department without a legal basis. Those gathered have no doubt that this is just reprisal. "The authorities have been targeting Kostandyan for a long time and are looking for an opportunity to bring him and his party members to justice and thus silence them," the gathered claimed.

Vahan Kostandyan and Samvel Azizyan were released from the Police Department today thanks to the protest action of their supporters, but the members of "United Armenia" have no doubt that the representatives of the leadership of the organization will face such a fact again.

On September 9, at 16:09, the crisis management center of Syunik Regional Rescue Department received an alert that an accident occurred near the intersection of Shinuhair village. The rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. One combat unit from the fire-rescue squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs went to the scene. It was found that "Mercedes-Benz" (driver: L.M.) and "VAZ" (driver: H.S., born in 1949) cars collided on the 9th km of the Goris-Sisian highway. Before reaching the place where the rescuers were called, the victim H. S. was hospitalized in a medical center, where the doctors assessed the victim's health condition as satisfactory. The rescuers cut off the power to the cars and closed the valves of the gas cylinders.

On June 9-11, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received 31 alarms about snakes spotted in different areas of the country. The rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. In particular, in Yerevan, in the city of Abovyan, in the villages of Zovun, Berdavan, Argel, Azatan and on the Abovyan-Charentsavan highway. The rescuers who arrived at the scene conducted a survey, as a result of which they found 5 snakes, 3 gyurzas, 2 lortu type reptiles, 2 unknown types of snakes and moved them to a safe area.

As a result of preventive measures aimed at reducing dust emissions carried out by the employees of the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspection Agency in Yerevan and neighboring regions in February-March, 17 trucks of different brands transporting bulk materials such as sand, gravel, soil masses, as well as construction waste without an impermeable cover were found. Measures of administrative responsibility were applied, explanatory works were carried out. Monitoring measures for the protection of atmospheric air are ongoing. Due to the siege, 19 children, separated from their parents and family for more than a month, returned home on the Goris-Stepanakert road. As a result of the provocative actions of the Azerbaijanis, there was a commotion in the car, as a result of which one of the children fainted. As a result of actions taken by Russian peacekeepers, they were removed from the car, the car continued its journey. Then, while passing through the blocked section of the road, Azerbaijanis demonstratively shouted in the direction of the vehicles transporting the children. This insolent behavior of the agents of the Azerbaijani government is an arbitrary and illegal interference in the private life and psychological integrity of children, an illegal encroachment on their honor and reputation. These criminal actions completely reveal their true goals and desires. The ethnic hatred of Azerbaijanis towards Armenians knows no bounds, targeting even minor children. This provocative and criminal action once again proves the fact that the road is blocked and the impossibility of safe travel on it, even accompanied by Russian peacekeeping troops.

With the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Armenia will participate in the Frankfurt International Book Exhibition on October 19-23, 2022 with a separate pavilion. This year, the Armenian pavilion is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Yeghishe Charents. The Ministry of Education and Culture informs that the exhibition will present foreign-language Armenian literature published in Armenia and abroad in recent years, as well as a number of cooperative programs. The purpose of having a national pavilion at the Frankfurt International Book Fair is that literary agents and publishers can hold their meetings at the Armenian pavilion, present their publications, writers, and buy and sell property rights of works. At the Armenian pavilion in Frankfurt, as well as representatives of other national pavilions and foreign publishing houses, the "Armenian literature in translations" grant program will be presented, with which the ministry supports publishing houses abroad that want to publish Armenian classical and modern literature in a foreign language in their country. The goal of the project is to make Armenian literature known outside the borders of our country. It also contributes to increasing the level of recognition of our culture and country. With the support of the "Armenian Literature in Translation" grant program, 67 books in more than 20 languages ​​have been published (and are in progress) abroad in the last 4 years. The goals of Armenia's participation in the Frankfurt International Book Fair are: international cooperation in the field of book distribution, popularization of Armenian literature abroad, development of all aspects of the literary field, preservation, development and dissemination of literary cultural heritage through literary products, creation of conditions for the reproduction and development of the creative potential of society.
