We are ready to help, but not to ride with you

The fruitless, unpleasant and despicable ranting of the opposition, in spite of the many vital issues knocking on the door of the state, not only does not stop, but also becomes more level-headed and deplorable day by day. A group that became "favorite" as a result of the palace coup in the camp of the second president has been able to fill the propaganda and agenda of Robert Kocharyan's team with itself for several months, pushing more weighty and prudent figures into the background. In the past, this camp with a political discourse, a good human base, a respectable bench of players now prefers to replace the promised stubborn fight against the authorities with a stinking and anti-Nikola propaganda against the Third President and the Republican, wasting the already limited resources of the opposition, diverting public attention from the most important issues, deepening the public's disillusionment with all politicians and thus, willy-nilly, knowingly or unknowingly, water pouring on Pashinyan's political calculations. This behavior has nothing to do not only with morality, but also with reason. On the one hand, the terror raging in the country, the last blow of the hammer in the geopolitical auction, another act aimed at the disintegration of national institutions, should not leave room for other agendas. On the other hand, the rearrangement of the political field, the formation of new and influential centers and the idea-fix of this camp to keep the yellow shirt of the leader of the opposition at any cost should have directed their energy and resources in the direction of increasing their own competitiveness. The fact that the visible priority of the Second President is the preservation of the capital in the political field and its smooth transfer to the heir is no longer a secret of Polishinel. However, both the anti-republican subversions legitimized by him and the rewritten internal political developments endanger the realization of these two strategic goals. If this continues, the "brain-drain" and outflow of resources from this camp to more competitive centers seems inevitable. Figuratively speaking, if in the past the ARF needed the Second President more, now that political vector is entering a reversive phase. In contrast to us, our colleagues, who obviously entered into pre-election logic, should be more worried by all this than the anti-propaganda against the Third President and the RPA carried out with inexplicable and sick fanaticism. Attempts to dictate the way of working "let's start together" instead of "working together" are unacceptable to us. It is known that a drowning person, with his irregular movements and panic, sometimes tries to take the rescued person with him. We are ready to help, but not to ride with you. The choice is yours, but we don't have much time. ARMEN ASHOTIAN Vice President of RPA

Mikael Srbazan sent a letter from the detention center

Mikael Srbazan sent a letter from the detention center

Ara Zohrabyan, the lawyer of the leader of the Diocese of Shirak, Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, published on his Facebook page the words of Mikael Srbazan from the prison. "Glory to You, God, glory to You, Lord of all, glory to You... Thanks again to the Almighty for making me unworthy worthy to go through this road of atonement and trial, always being by my side and comforting me with the Holy Spirit. Where there is trouble, there is also the comfort of the Lord. Be encouraged because the Lord always wins. It will win now too, perhaps through unworthy servants like me. However, I think that he will not forgive the pitiful henchmen who know very well what they are doing.... All indiscriminately who have tainted themselves with injustice and prejudice await Canossa* at best. And if you get stronger again, you will lose again, because God is with us!!! Archbishop Mikael Adjapahyan 31.07.2025, the 35th day of illegal detention" Ara Zohrabyan also presented the explanation of the word Kanossa Canossa is of particular historical significance as it is noted as the site of the famous "Meeting of Canossa" in 1077. This meeting between Pope Gregory VII and the Rhine Emperor Henry IV is one of the most celebrated events in medieval history. Henry IV repented, put on a sackcloth and arrived barefoot at the gates of Canossa where the pope was. However, Pope Gregory VII refused to accept Henry. According to reports, Henry waited at the castle gates for three days, during which time he fasted and did not remove his sackcloth. In the end, the grandfather accepts him. Heinrich kneels before Grandfather Gregory and begs his forgiveness. Gregory forgives the emperor and calls him to return to the bosom of the Church.

The church raised its moral voice, refused to bow to the power that brought disaster

The church raised its moral voice, refused to bow to the power that brought disaster

Former Foreign Minister of Armenia Vardan Oskanyan writes on his Facebook page: "In the midst of a deep national crisis, after the loss of Artsakh, the displacement of more than 120,000 compatriots, and the threat of new territorial concessions, one would have expected the Armenian leadership to show humility, moral clarity, and promote national unity. Instead, Nikol Pashinyan initiated an unprecedented and reprehensible rhetorical campaign against the Armenian Apostolic Church and its clergy. The latest blasphemous expressions are not only inappropriate for the head of the state, but also dangerous and corrosive to the foundations of our statehood. What is the Church's "sin" in Pashinyan's eyes? That he dared to speak, raising his moral voice at a time when many institutions were silenced or subdued. The fact that it refuses to bow to a government that is responsible for the military disaster, public demoralization and erosion of Armenia's sovereignty. The fact that it continues to embody and transmit a centuries-old national identity, which neither revolution nor oppression can eliminate. Paradoxically, the Church did not declare war against the state. it is the state that has declared war against the Church. The fact that these attacks coincided with the international conference of the World Council of Churches held in Bern with the participation of the Catholicos of All Armenians and Cilicia is very telling, the purpose of which was to protect the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage of Nagorno Karabakh. The Church bears the moral weight of history, the trust of the people and an identity that stands above the politics of the past and the catastrophic failures of the present. Pashinyan sees it, and it scares him. This is not the first time in our history that the Church has risen as the guardian of the people in the face of political collapse and ontological threat. For centuries, during the years of foreign rule and the Soviet years, the Armenian Church preserved our collective soul and spoke on our behalf when no one else could. And today he is doing that work again, not as a political force, but as the conscience of the nation. Pashinyan's shameful attacks against the Church are not just words. They are an attempt to humiliate and delegitimize the only institution that remains independent of its control. However, the stronger the attacks, the more visible its insecurity becomes, and the more the people realize who really stands by their side. This is not just a clash between Pashinyan's supporters and the spiritual class. This is a battle for the spirit of Armenia. And when the government chooses to humiliate the Church instead of protecting its people, it loses both moral authority and national legitimacy."
