Remote work in Armenia should be regulated at the legislative level. RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan said this today, on September 12, during the discussion of the bill "On Amendments to the Labor Code" in the National Assembly. According to the deputy minister, remote work will be possible from now on both in the public and private sector. "At the moment, there is a rule regulating remote work in the law, but it only applies to crisis situations," Sargsyan explained. He also presented international statistics. For example, studies conducted in the US labor market showed that in February 2023, about 20% of employees were already working from offices. Meanwhile, the rest - about 80% - work either fully remote or hybrid. The same trend is observed in Europe. The draft envisages that remote work will be carried out with the mutual consent of the employee and the employer. True, provided that the nature of this particular work allows it to be done in such a format. During the performance of work obligations, the employee undertakes by mutual agreement to ensure their proper performance, as well as his availability to the employer. Failure of the employee to comply with the above requirements will be considered as a violation of labor discipline.

"If a system is constantly polluted, it is not restored, it threatens full flowering and swamping, and eventually it will lose its importance as a source of drinking water in this region," he said. According to Sanasaryan, water is often released from Lake Sevan when there is plenty of water. "What I have seen with my own eyes regarding Lake Sevan is a terrible thing."
