Our independence is the sacred legacy of our fathers, which we must cherish

H.E. The message of the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on the occasion of the Republic Day Patriarchal We bring our blessing to the children of our people in our homeland and in the diaspora and congratulate them on the occasion of the Republic Day. Today we are commemorating the memories of 1918. the heroic battles of May, the indomitable will shown by our people, the spirit of unity and brave struggle, thanks to which the first Republic of Armenia was declared. After a break of centuries, Armenian statehood was restored in the native land, with the vision of creating a dignified and safe life and a bright future. Today, when our people are facing new trials and after the disastrous war and the occupation of Artsakh, they are suffering the heavy consequences of disasters, the Council of May 28 once again sounds the irrefutable truth that the people can win when they are united with one goal, one aspiration and desire. Our independence is the sacred gift of our fathers to us, which we must cherish and continue to build our country and strengthen our statehood with joint efforts. On this holiday, we pray for the peace and well-being of our people around the world, the strength of our army, the security and progress of our state. Let the exploits of our forefathers inspire us to believe in our strengths, to unite around the motherland, common goals, and make joint efforts in protecting our national interests and rights. May the graces, love and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us and all, today and always. every

Why Armenia can no longer tolerate the leadership of Nikol Pashinyan. Vardan Oskanyan

Why Armenia can no longer tolerate the leadership of Nikol Pashinyan. Vardan Oskanyan

Former RA Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan wrote on his Facebook page: "Today, the majority of Armenians are united around one belief: Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan must leave, and the sooner, the better. The differences refer only to the path of that removal: parliamentary no-confidence, mass protests, early elections or waiting for the scheduled elections of 2026. But there is also widespread skepticism that any of these mechanisms will work. But one thing is irrevocable: Armenia cannot afford to stay under Pashinyan's leadership for even one more day. The country stands at one of the most dangerous junctures in its modern history. The areas of national security, foreign policy, democratic governance, economic stability and national solidarity have been significantly disrupted and weakened during the years of Pashinyan's rule. What began in 2018 with promises of hope and transformation - transparency, justice, revival - has today turned into a period of self-reliance, incompetence and strategic failures. Today, it is obvious that Pashinyan not only failed to face the existing challenges, but also dusted the achieved achievements and deepened the vulnerability of the country. He must leave for the future of Armenia. It is time to forge a new path. At the root of Pashinyan's failure is the disastrous management of foreign and security policy. In a region where strategic depth is a necessity, he has led without experience, vision or discipline. His approach to Azerbaijan, with controversial rhetoric and unilateral concessions, has encouraged Baku and isolated Yerevan. During his tenure, Armenia lost Nagorno-Karabakh, more than 120,000 Armenians were displaced, and a centuries-old community was wiped out. These were not inevitable consequences of war. These were a direct result of poor and failed leadership that was unprepared to face the geopolitical reality.

The Armenian side did not agree to exchange Meghri with Artsakh

The Armenian side did not agree to exchange Meghri with Artsakh

Levon Kocharyan, deputy of the Armenia faction of the RA NA, referred to the topic of Meghri, which has become the subject of discussion these days, and made a Facebook post. With facts about honey. 1, Heydar Aliyev agreed that Artsakh should join Armenia in exchange for Meghri 2, The Armenian side did not agree to exchange Meghri with Artsakh 3, As a result of brilliant Armenian diplomacy, a settlement proposal appeared on the negotiation table, by which Azerbaijan would only be provided with an overland road (overpass) through Meghri. 4, Artsakh would become part of internationally recognized Armenia, along with the Lachine Corridor 5. Despite the initial agreement, Azerbaijan refused this option at the last moment 6, Today, after the loss of Artsakh, Nikol Pashinyan is negotiating to give Azerbaijan a way through Meghri, without getting anything in return. 7, Artsakh was lost during Pashinyan's rule, Azerbaijan occupied an area larger than Meghri from Armenia and is not going to return it. At the very least, it is strange and dishonest when the perceptions of some officials from the initial stage of the negotiations are leaked, but the actual document that emerged from those negotiations and which clearly states that Meghri would not be traded is not disclosed. The conclusions should be obvious to anyone. These are facts, and the noise generated by the authorities and other forces about all of this is simply aimed at misleading the public again before making another one-sided concession.
