10-15 Azerbaijanis with their faces covered entered the car carrying the children from Artsakh. one of the children passed out

Due to the siege, 19 children, separated from their parents and family for more than a month, returned home on the Goris-Stepanakert road. Artsakh HRD Gegham Stepanyan wrote about this on his Facebook page. The children were moved from Goris to Stepanakert accompanied by the Russian peacekeeping troops. The car was stopped by Azerbaijanis in the area under Shushi-Kari, in the cordoned off part of the road, where the Azerbaijani government agents pretending to be "eco-activists" and the journalists serving them are stationed. Then, 10-15 Azerbaijanis with cameras in civilian clothes approached the car, some of them broke into the car and filmed the children in the car. As a result of the provocative actions of the Azerbaijanis, there was a commotion in the car, as a result of which one of the children fainted. As a result of actions taken by Russian peacekeepers, they were removed from the car, the car continued its journey. Then, while passing through the blocked section of the road, Azerbaijanis demonstratively shouted in the direction of the vehicles transporting the children. This insolent behavior of the agents of the Azerbaijani government is an arbitrary and illegal interference in the private life and psychological integrity of children, an illegal encroachment on their honor and reputation. These criminal actions completely reveal their true goals and desires. The ethnic hatred of Azerbaijanis towards Armenians knows no bounds, targeting even minor children. This provocative and criminal action once again proves the fact that the road is blocked and the impossibility of safe travel on it, even accompanied by Russian peacekeeping troops.

Syunik is really vital for our country, so any project aimed at sustainable development of the region is in the center of special attention of the Government. Moreover, the current geopolitical developments further emphasize the strategic role of Syunik, including in the path of building sustainable peace in the region. In this context, I consider it necessary to emphasize that our joint efforts aimed at improving the quality of life in the region, in addition to having an important local socio-economic impact, are also of fundamental importance for the sustainable development of our country. I am glad that the importance of the normal development of the region was also recorded within the framework of our cooperation with the European Union and EU member states. This is evidenced not only by the initiative starting today, but also by the fact that under the Economic and Investment Plan of the European Union, the increase of Syunik's resilience and the sustainable development of the region are specifically highlighted as one of the independent directions in our five main guidelines. The government also continues to work intensively with partners on the construction of the southern section of the North-South Highway, which will contribute to our efforts to position Armenia as a regional trade and economic hub. I should also mention with satisfaction the program of establishment of 2 COAF centers in Syunik marz, which will make innovative education available to residents of the marz. In conclusion, I would like to thank once again on behalf of the Government and myself all the partners involved for the great and important work done and planned.
